Our doctor's office recommended that we take anti-malarial tablets on this trip to India. The Indian pharmacist at the counter told me what she did. She got enough tablets to get started on the course, and bought the remaining dose in India. So that's what we did as well. We paid about $3 per Mefloquine tablet in the US (actually $25 for 8) and about $1 per in India (Rs. 167 or $4 for 4). A little late for it now, but I should have looked into getting my supply of statins in India (the tablets I buy here are made in India half the time anyway!).
