IIoS Update
I wrote about the Income Investing on Steroids portfolio 3 months ago here. It's time for a quarterly update. I started a watch portfollio on FolioFN on 3/3/08 with a hypothetical $500,000 in it, equally divided (by dollar amount) among the 20 stocks (i.e. $25,000 each).
As of yesterday's close, the portfolio value is $551,567.70, up 10.58% compared to 5.54% for RSP.
FolioFN does automatic reinvesting of dividends. That means that the cost-basis of the portfolio as of today will be the starting account value plus all the dividends paid so far. Thus the dividends paid out so far equal today's cost basis minus the starting amount or $8657.46.
