Happy Diwali!

I noticed Yahoo!'s main logo said Happy Diwali and had two oil-lamps and firecrackers. Likely a reflection of the facts of growing visibility of India on the world stage and the heavy representation of Indians among the ranks of computer programmers.

I scrolled down the Yahoo! Celebrate Diwali page and in the Diwali Dinner list were Tandoori Chicken and Garam masala lamb chops! Now I don't know any household in India that will celebrate Diwali with Tandoori Chicken. Everything is pure vegetarian in India, especially when it comes to festival foods. So the inclusion of these two meat dishes amused me. I suppose Tandoori Chicken in particular has become the national dish of India to the rest of the world (here's my recipe).
